Relevance and electoralism in the study of political oppositions: the case of Morocco’s radical left

Relevance is a key concept in the study of political parties. This article argues that conceptions relevance used oppositions authoritarian settings need to be clarified and reformulated. More specifically, light current knowledge on electoral authoritarianism, notion must go beyond electoralist traditionally when studying democratic contexts. Drawing case Morocco, highlights obscuring effect such can have. It then provides an alternative framework, adjusting specificities context evolving nature actors operating within it.
